Liverpool’s ongoing pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola (23) is set to go down to the wire as the end of the transfer window approaches, according to a report from The Athletic. The French international attacker is the Reds’ priority target to bolster their wide attacking options before the end of the summer.
Despite the Premier League club’s heightened interest in the former Lyon forward, there still remains a large valuation gap between the Merseyside outfit and the Ligue 1 champions. PSG are demanding somewhere in the region of €170m for Liverpool to be able to bring the 23-year-old to Anfield.
Barcola confident of joining Liverpool
Although the two clubs remain at a stand off in their negotiations for the Frenchman, Barcola remains confident that he will seal a move to the North West of England before the summer transfer window is over, L’Équipe understands. Liverpool have already had one offer of €115m rejected by Les Parisiens for the forward, but are set to return with a new offer closer to PSG’s asking price.
